KPM UK Taxis is delighted to announce that the new PCO-licensed Mercedes Vito Taxi has been approved by Reading Council at a meeting of the Reading Licensing Committee on 1st October. This follows a visit from the Reading Licensing team to KPM UK Taxis, the leading Independent taxi retailer in London, where they were able to see for themselves the new Mercedes Taxi in action. Says Steve McCarthy, Sales Director at KPM:
"“The Licensing Team from Reading were really pleased to see how well the new Mercedes taxi was already performing in London and because they require the high quality standards set by the London Conditions of Fitness they were able to go back with a recommendation to licence the Mercedes Vito Taxi in Reading."
Attending the licensing meeting on 1st October was Reading taxi driver Haseeb Raja:
"As soon as the decision was made to license the Mercedes, I went into KPM the next day and ordered one! It’s truly an excellent taxi, so much room for both driver and passengers with very high specification and quality levels. I am confident my customers will be over the moon when they get into my new taxi."
Steve McCarthy has now confirmed that KPM has received further orders for the new Mercedes Vito taxi from Reading drivers. Steve argues that:
"It’s relatively easy to sell a taxi as good as the Mercedes Vito Taxi, and our Reading customers were happy to make the hour-long journey to our Mercedes dealership here in London. But we are now setting up a dedicated service operation at the local Reading Mercedes dealership, Rygor. This will ensure drivers who purchase the new Mercedes taxi will always enjoy the best after-sales service. Rygor will be trained in all aspects of the new taxi and since Rygor service open hours are 7am to 11pm each working day this means our customers can be completely confident of exceeding our customers’ requirements."
