Based upon the latest available data from London's Public Carriage Office, the Vito it has taken 25% of London's new taxi sales with the new Mercedes- Benz Vito Taxi from its launch at the beginning of August 2008 to the end of February 2009.

Peter DaCosta, Chief Executive commented:

"Despite a tough market place we are delighted that sales of the Vito Taxi have performed so well, helping ECV meet the board's targets and expectations. The vehicle has enjoyed a great reception, not only from the drivers, who are reporting circa 25% savings on fuel, but also by passengers and the corporate sector who see the vehicle as providing value for money with its extra space and levels of comfort."

The Company is also pleased to announce that the first vehicle has been licensed by Coventry City Council, which joins the local authorities of Manchester, Trafford, Peterborough, Southampton, Reading and Cambridge in granting licences to the Vito Taxi.
