KPM are London's Premier taxi dealership providing a professional service for the professional driver
The company was formed in 1975 and provides sales and service back-up for the licenced London taxi driver. The company sells new and used taxis manufactured by London Taxi International and Mercedes Benz.
Company origins
When Keith Marder, Peter DaCosta and Michael Troullis formed the Company it was the first of its kind specialising in repairs for the owner-driver. Taxis were predominately owned by fleet operators and the taxi repairers, often fleet owners as well, were unfairly treating the owner-driver. The founders saw the possibility for a niche garrage serving the owner-driver. That continues to this day providing a one-stop repair service that gets owners back on the road as quick as possible.
Stock market listing
In October 2007 KPM-UK Taxis became part of Eco City Vehicles PLC and listed on the AIM Market where the shares are traded (Stock Code ECV). Eco City will strive to bring low emission vehicles into London but also continue to serve the London taxi driver.
In June 2008 KPM-UK Taxis introduced the first alternative taxi for the London taxi driver; the Mercedes Vito Taxi.
